Citizen panel on the Flemish AI research program
On 15 March, Scivil, together with the Knowledge Centre Data and Society and commissioned by the Flemish government, brought 60 citizens together in Technopolis to reflect on the future of artificial intelligence research in Flanders.
This citizen panel explored eight promising AI applications, such as smart intersections and agricultural robots. Participants discussed the opportunities, challenges and ethical issues raised by AI, and explore the link with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
